As a corporate procurement category manager at Hendrix Genetics, you will report to the Global Procurement Director and be part of our Global Procurement team. Your daily tasks will include: 

  • Managing two direct reports : François, junior buyer, and Maëliss, purchasing intern. 

  • Actively contributing to the Procurement transformation by promoting the adoption of new practices and fostering innovation. 

  • Contributing to the deployment of the group purchasing strategy. 

  • Supporting the development, alignment and implementation of the category strategy 

  • Managing purchasing projects (objectives, team, planning, governance). 

  • Identifying new purchasing opportunities that create value for the company in collaboration with internal stakeholders. 

  • Analyzing expenses in coordination with internal stakeholders and finance. 

  •  Playing a key role in supplier identification, development and relationship management 

  • Driving negotiations and tenders on regional and global scale; working closely with local stakeholders to define & implement local procurement initiatives 

  • Contributing to the Group's financial results by developing and implementing a performance management plan. 

  • Providing regular reporting to the group purchasing director, internal stakeholders, and finance.

Profile

Your profile: 

We're looking for someone with a Master's/Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or related field, backed by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within international corporations.  

You must be able to develop and implement category purchasing strategies. You are known for your expertise in negotiation and supplier relations.  

Your knowledge should encompass supply chain management, purchasing, and procurement. An experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes would be a plus.   

You must possess strong analytical skills, along with experience in team and change management, as well as project management.  

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.   

Your competencies should also include  conceptual thinking, a results-oriented mindset, high integrity, disciplined execution of tasks, effective  influencing skills, proven leadership abilities, proficiency in building relationships and networking, and skillful application of expertise and technology.
