As a rapidly growing international and data-driven company, we know that data is essential to support the day-to-day business operations, in order to do that we looking for a Data Engineer to continuously develop our Data Platform.

In this position you will be part of a team that designs and implements solutions to ensure data is seamlessly being ingested, modelled and structured, covering several sources with a primary focus on our ERP & CRM and Oracle Applications.

You will contribute with substantial expertise in a broad range of data solutions development and programming skills, combined with our team members knowledge of data analysis and business requirements to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and incorporate these needs into technical solutions. This position requires a solid understanding of database design principles and the software development life cycle. Team environment is dynamic and multicultural.

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

You will support our Data & BI environment End to End, meaning:

• Development and Support of our Databricks Data Platform analytical solutions, leveraging best practices and optimization of data pipelines, databases, and components
• Contributes actively on a squad along with other engineers, being the point of contact as a technical team member to drive user story analysis and elaboration, propose and review designs and implements the solution.
• Promote new techniques to solve complex data problems, ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability in all data operations and maintain data integrity
• Be part of an international team, work in an Agile / Spotify
• Being open and curious to learn about Hendrix Genetics businesses

Do you have the following requirements?

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• Have +4 years’ experience with Data Warehouse concept being proficient in ETL and Medallion Architecture as well as Batch and Streaming
• Have +4 years’ experience with Databricks, SQL dimensional modeling and Python
• Have +4 years’ experience in Azure Cloud components such as, but not limited to, Azure Data Factory, KeyVault, Storage
• Demonstrated experience with coding principles and testing patterns for large-scale data infrastructures and Knowledge in CI/CD in DevOp
• Experience building high-performance algorithms for highly efficient Data Architecture.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use cases.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile, Spotify or similar framework

 

Additional preferred qualifications

• Knowledge in different programming or scripting languages other than Python
• Previous experience with Oracle databases and applications
• Have knowledge or interest for ML and AI topics
