Your Role

The Field Performance Specialist provides expert technical service, guidance, and support to assigned customer accounts, helping customers optimize the performance of Hybrid Turkeys’ products within their production systems. This role builds strong, trusted, and value-added customer relationships by developing a deep understanding of how Hybrid products perform in customer operations, to capitalize on performance opportunities. The Field Performance Specialist investigates performance deviations later in the flock cycle, post brooder; works with growers on performance enhancement strategies; identifies systemic issues across farms and provides guidance back to customers and internal teams on how to address these challenges. Part of the role is the ability to connect what is observed on farm with the improvements required within Hybrid Turkeys’ own organization, as well as to recommend practical trials, corrective actions, or next steps that help overcome recurring issues and improve future outcomes. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, practical problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and the ability to translate technical knowledge into meaningful recommendations that support customer success and continuous improvement.  

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level, expert technical service to assigned customers to optimize product performance and support continuous improvement

• Collaborate closely with customers to assess challenges, resolve issues, provide practical solutions, and serve as the trusted technical expert for turkey management matters

• Apply specialized education in animal health and nutrition in conjunction with Hybrid’s consulting nutrition company and senior veterinarian to develop solutions to field challenges and to gain a better understanding of opportunities in feeding and vaccination programs

• Travel regularly throughout the U.S. region to provide on-site customer support, technical guidance, and relationship management, with a minimum travel requirement of 80%

• In partnership with the Placement Quality Specialist and the Product Manager, you will collect, analyze, and interpret customer data to identify performance trends, improvement opportunities, and meaningful benchmarking insights for customers

• Maintain and continuously improve overall product performance across all relevant areas

• Together with the Data and Performance specialist, evaluate, and recommend new tools, technologies, advisory approaches, and service enhancements to improve customer support

• Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate qualified leads, customer needs, or business growth opportunities to the Key Account Manager

• Build, maintain, and strengthen trusted relationships with assigned customers through responsive, professional, and value-added support

• Develop and present technical data, performance insights, and management information to support informed decision-making and enhance customer service

• Effectively utilize CRM and related systems to document activity, track customer needs, and support timely follow-through

• Collaborate closely with Account Managers to support account planning, customer engagement, and aligned service delivery

• Perform other projects, duties, and responsibilities as requested or required to support business objectives

• Bachelor or Master degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agribusiness or a related field of study
• Preference to specialized or advanced coursework in animal health/veterinary care, or poultry nutrition
• 7 to 10 years of practical experience working with turkeys or within the poultry industry
• Animal production experience and/or technical services (commercial or turkey breeding operational experience)

• Valid passport with the ability to travel
